Coronavirus update – 17th March

Following government advice from the evening briefing of 16th March:

Please do not come into school if you have:

  • a high temperature
  • a continuous new cough
You should not come into school for 14 days from the onset of either of these symptoms or longer if your condition worsens and you should then seek medical advice

If you live with someone who is showing these symptoms, you must also self-isolate for 14 days.

If you have been in close contact with someone who has been confirmed as having COVID -19 you should self isolate for 14 days and should not come into school.

For children with other symptoms, i.e. no high temperature or cough, if you would not normally send them into school, please keep them at home until they are better. This illness will be treated as authorised absence.

If you have any underlying health issues and feel vulnerable, please follow government advice. School will view any child absence sympathetically, which arises because of this advice.

The situation is very fast changing! We would ask you to respect the decisions we make which are according to the latest government advice and always made in the best interests of our pupils, families and staff.

We are limiting parent access to school; please will you therefore phone or email rather than coming into reception.

In order to support social distancing measures, we will be admitting children straight into classrooms from 8.30am. Please leave the playground as promptly as possible after dropping off your children.
