Ethos and values
‘Let your light shine’
The school vision is clearly rooted in the Beatitudes where Jesus teaches his disciples and says:
‘In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.’ (Matthew 5:16)
All the children seek to ‘Let their light shine’ as they reflect our Christian values in their daily life and this is celebrated in our Child of the Week Assembly each Monday:
- We are kind
- We say sorry and we forgive
- We are thoughtful
- We listen
- We care
- We share
- We are honest
- We are respectful
- We try our best
- We love to learn!
Mrs Colmer’s Lockdown Assembly
I am intending to post an assembly each Monday, either for the children to see in school, or for parents to share in at home. Hoping these will remind us that we are all part of the school community, wherever we are!

Silver School Status from the Anti-Bullying Alliance!
We are delighted to announce that Winslow Church of England school has been awarded the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s Silver School status!
We (staff, pupils, parent work group and the Behaviour Squad) have worked hard to demonstrate our commitment to stopping bullying and improving the well-being of our pupils. As a result, we have been awarded Silver School status!
Thank you all for your continued support. We hope you will continue to support us as we embark on the next stage of our journey: towards Gold!
