Vision and values
‘Let your light shine’
Our vision is ‘Let your light shine’. It is clearly rooted in the Beatitudes where Jesus teaches his disciples and says: ‘In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.’ (Matthew 5:16)
The rainbow logo symbolises God’s unconditional love for each individual. At Winslow Church of England School, we seek to reflect that light in all we do: in the community, both local and wider, in our communication, both word and action, with curiosity and courage as we face difficulties and challenges, and with care and compassion for everyone.
All the children seek to ‘Let their light shine’ as they reflect our Christian values in their daily life and this is celebrated in our Child of the Week Assembly each Monday:
- We are kind
- We say sorry and we forgive
- We are thoughtful
- We listen
- We care
- We share
- We are honest
- We are respectful
- We try our best
- We love to learn!
Gold School Status from the Anti-Bullying Alliance! (March 2021)
We are delighted to announce that Winslow Church of England School has been awarded the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s Gold School status for all our hard work and commitment in reducing and preventing bullying and improving the well-being of our pupils. This is a significant improvement on last year when we received Silver status.
We pride ourselves on being a school community in which children can flourish, letting their light shine, whilst feeling safe and happy.
Thank you all for your continued support.
